Bank mgr, staff quizzed in clerk suicide case

Two days after a bank clerk was found hanging at her Goregaon home, the police on Friday visited Bank of India’s zonal office at Malad where she worked. Superiors and colleagues of the deceased, Aruna Joshi (49), were quizzed.

In a suicide note purportedly written by Joshi, it was alleged that three of her colleagues were responsible for her death. Joshi had been severely depressed.

“We met the zonal branch manager, Joshi’s superior and colleagues to check if any departmental inquiry was launched against her,” said senior inspector Sunil Wadke.
