Proof against netas in bldr suicide: Govt

The state government on Thursday told Bombay high court that it had corroborative evidence in addition to the suicide note in builder Suraj Parmar’s suicide case. The prosecution submitted the investigation documents, including the suicide note written in a diary, before the bench of Justice Ajay Gadkari.

The court is hearing the application for pre-arrest bail filed by four corporators — Vikrant Chavan of Congress, Najib Mulla and Hanumant Jagdale of NCP, and Sudhakar Chavan, an Independent — allegedly named by Parmar in his note. The lawyer for the corporators claimed the names were scratched out by Parmar and therefore it revealed his intention not to blame them.

The HC has scheduled further hearing of the case on Friday.
