Ideal Road Builders has collected Rs 1,073.68 crore as toll from vehicle-users on the Mumbai-Pune national highway over the last eight-and-a-half years, according to toll collection data put out by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) on its website for the first time on Wednesday.
The state chief information commission had directed MSRDC to put up this information for the highway as well as the expressway by September 30, after a complaint by Pune-based activist Vivek Velankar.
Though year-wise data on highway toll collected has been finally disclosed, detailed expressway toll figures are still awaited. Sources said that MSRDC will list these details by September 30, as directed by the commission.
