The Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) has sought suggestions from the public to turn Kalyan-Dombivli into a smart city. Kalyan-Dombivli is one of the cities selected for the smart-city project by the government.
The decision to invite public suggestion through social media was taken on Saturday during a workshop organised by the civic body. A private firm appointed by the civic body gave a presentation about the smart-city project at the workshop attended by politicians, corporators and civic officials.
”While developing the city, there is a need for change in the mindset of the public, political representatives and officials, and it should be a collective effort towards development of the city” said E Ravindran, KDMC commissioner.
