SS Rajamouli’s dream project Baahubalihit theatres this Friday and all eyes were on the first day collections. With the immense hype and excitement surrounding the film, Baahubali was expected to storm the box office. And it did. The film which raked in around Rs 50 crore nett in India on Friday, has now collected over Rs 100 crore in just two days (including all versions).
The film which opened really well in its Hindi format, collected around Rs 5 crore on day one and added another Rs 7 crore on Saturday. With that, the Hindi version alone has collected a little over Rs 12 crore, which is excellent for a South film. The other versions have added huge moolah in two days itself.
Releasing in around 3500-4000 screens across the world, Baahubali collected Rs 50 crore alone in India itself (all versions) and added another Rs 12 crore from overseas markets on its opening day. While the net collections of the film worldwide was Rs 62 crore, it dropped a bit on Saturday and netted around Rs 50 crore worldwide.
With that, the worldwide collections of the film is a whopping Rs 112 crore in two days while the gross collections tally somewhere around the Rs 135 crore mark. Being made on a lavish budget of Rs 250 crore for both the films Baahubali- The Beginning andBaahubali- The Conclusion, the collections will definitely put a smile one everyone’s faces.
