The three teachers arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a class IV Mira Road student have confessed to their crime.
The 46-year-old PT teacher who began abusing the nine-year-old a year ago threatened to harm the girl’s parents if she spoke about the abuse. He told the police that he convinced them when the drawing teachers learned about the abuse. The teachers were arrested on Monday after the girl’s parents filed a complaint with the Mira Road police on Sunday.
The parents told the police that their daughter was frightened when told that the school would reopen shortly after the Diwali vacation. That is when the mother sat with the child, who then opened up.
The teachers have told the police that they did not target any other student.
