The creator of the Bulli Bai App, Niraj Bishnoi, and two others have been granted bail by a Mumbai court. On Tuesday, Additional Sessions Judge AB Sharma granted bail to Niraj Bishnoi, Aumkareshwar Thakur, and Neeraj Singh. They were granted bail on a bond of Rs.50,000 each.
The accused have been restricted from traveling abroad and have also been asked to appear before the police once a month.
In the Bulli Bai case, hundreds of Muslim women were put up on a list for ‘auction’ on the Bulli Bai App along with their photographs. The app’s purpose looked to humiliate and intimidate the women who were targeted out of which the majority of them were active users of social media.
