CM Uddhav Thackeray inaugurates Water Scheme in Aurangabad worth Rs. 1,680.50 crore; Balasaheb Thackeray Memorial inaugurated too

On Saturday, Maharashtra’s Chief Minister, Uddhav Thackeray was virtually in Aurangabad to attend the ground-breaking ceremony of a water pipeline project that is worth Rs. 1,680.50 crore. During the speech, he also said that the memorial of late Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray that is proposed to be set up in Aurangabad, would promote the feeling of nationalism and Hindutva in the future generations.

The ground-breaking ceremony of the water pipeline project took place online and along with it, three other projects in Aurangabad were also a part. The other three projects are – Urban Roads Project (Rs. 152 Crore), Safari Park (Rs. 174 Crore) and the Memorial of ‘Bal Thackeray’.

The CM, while talking about the memorial said, “The memorial of late Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray will promote the feeling of nationalism and Hindutva in the coming generations. It will also tell them about his work.” Adding to the statement, Uddhav Thackeray said that he is coincidently performing the ground-breaking (Bhoomi Pujan) ceremony of the leader’s memorial, who was known for having the ‘Remote Control of Power.’

Thackeray also mentioned that he might visit the city without any intimation to check-upon the much-awaited pipeline scheme’s work progress.

Farmers, in relevance to the Samruddhi Expressway, also found place in Thackeray’s speech. During the land acquisition for the Samruddhi Expressway project was on, he said that Sena had reached out to them. “We met the farmers and resolved their problems. We did not keep their issues hanging,” he said.

While talking about Aurangabad Airport’s name-change, the CM said, “The proposal to name the airport after Chhatrapati Sambhaji has been sanctioned by the state government and it has been is forwarded to Centre. I am confident that it will be approved.”

Eknath Shinde (Cabinet Minister of Urban Development and Public Works (Public Undertakings)), Subhash Desai (Maharashtra Cabinet Minister and guardian minister of Aurangabad.), Gulabrao Patil (Maharashtra Cabinet Minister and Guardian Minister of Jalgaon district.) and Sandipan Bhumre (Minister of Employment Guarantee and Horticulture, Government of Maharashtra) were few of the people present on the occasion inckuding Shiv Sena leaders.
