On Wednesday, Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Raut was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning in a case of money laundering. Sanjay Raut’s statement had recently been recorded by the ED at Ballard Estate, in their zonal office. Raut has been called again for further clarification.
An investigation is being conducted by the Enforcement Directorate for Rs.1,200 crore money laundering case about the Patra Chawl redevelopment fraud in Goregaon that includes the HDIL Group along with its promoter Rakesh Wadhwan and his son Sarang and Pravin Raut.
A flat in Mumbai owned by Sanjay Raut’s wife and the Alibaug land parcel was attached by the Enforcement Directorate in April.
