From January 24, 2022, schools in Mumbai will reopen as the state government has given approval for the school reopening. After the approval from the state government, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation released guidelines, The BMC, in guidelines, has said that attendance is not compulsory for anybody. The students from pre-primary class to class 12 will be allowed to attend offline lectures in the school.
Guidelines:
- Attendance is not mandatory for any student. Online classes can be attended.
- All the students attending offline lectures will have to follow Covid protocols like wearing masks and maintaining social distance.
- Students coming back to school must have a consent letter from their parents. The schools must make sure that the consent forms are collected.
- Before reopening, all teaching and non-teaching staff must come to school to carry out disinfection and sanitization.
- Children’s vaccination plans should continue in schools falling under BMC.
