Maharashtra: Shinde-led government issues 749 resolutions in a month, sets record

Since June 30, a new record of issuing 749 government resolutions has been set by the Maharashtra Government by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and his Deputy Devendra Fadnavis. After the swearing-in ceremony, on June 30, there was a release by the state government of 63 GRs out of which 14 were by the department of general administration, public health department (7), school education and sports (6), soil and water conservation (6), revenue and forest (5), water resources (5) and rural development (4), reported the Free Press Journal.

Out of the total number of GRs, the public health department had issued 91 and the environment department had issued only two.

So far, the department-wise GRs (Government Resolutions) issued are:

  • 83 – Water supply and sanitation
  • 50 – School education and sports
  • 44 – Revenue and forest
  • 41 – Water resources
  • 35 – Agriculture
  • 29 – Tribal development
  • 27 – Home
  • 24 – Medical Education
  • 24 – Soil and water conservation
  • 19 – Skill development
  • 19 -Urban development
