Govt to spend Rs 3 lakh crore under NEP over next 5 years – BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri

Last week, a BJP Minister from South Delhi MP Ramesh Bidhuri said that ₹3 lakh crore was scheduled to be spent on the expansion of the education sector under the New Education Policy (NEP) of the BJP-led Centre.  Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is likely to “spend crores on advertisements” claiming credit for it over the coming days,’ is how Bidhuri attacked on the AAP Government. 

Talking of the New Education Policy, Bidhuri said that under the 2.0 of NEP, children under 3 years will be registered for admission both in government and private schools.

The South Delhi MP noted that there are over 11.6 lakh schools where there are more than 15 crore students and 57 lakh teachers of government and aided schools. 

As reported by PTI, Bidhuri said that the latest provision for “playschool, Bal Vatika, security and vocational studies,” is also on budget. There will also be a mechanism whereby children will be given education according to their interests, Bidhuri said, as reported by PTI.
