Google will stop allowing older devices from signing in from 27 September. Android version 2.3.7 or older will not be getting any further support from Google.
If you have an old device, despite entering the correct login ID and password, the app will show an error. This service will be applicable for YouTube, Gmail and Google maps.
Google mentioned in a statement, “If your device has the ability to update to the new Android version 3.0+, we advise you to do so in order to maintain access to Google apps and services on that device.”
