Fodder Scam: Lalu Yadav sentenced to 5 year jail term

In a fifth case connected to the Fodder Scam, Lalu Yadav has been sentenced to five years in jail and has been fined Rs.60 lakh. It was in the last week when the Rashtriya Janata Dal leader was convicted in the case.

The three-time Chief Minister has been found guilty along with 39 others. Lalu Yadav is out on bail and currently is unwell. He had joined the court hearing through video conference. It was on February 15 when he was sentenced and was taken to the jail hospital in Ranchi.

“I fight those who create divides. They can’t defeat us so they trap us in conspiracies. I have neither been afraid, nor bent before anyone. I will keep fighting. The coward will never understand the struggles of a fighter”, he tweeted in Hindi.
