On Wednesday, the Union Cabinet approved the Farm Laws Repeal Bill, 2021 which is draft legislation to repeal the three contentious farm laws. These three farm laws had been triggering extensive protests around the borders of Delhi for around a year.
Union Minister Anurag Thakur announced this decision after the Union Cabinet meeting.
It has been listed by the government that “The Farm Laws Repeal Bill, 2021” in the legislative business to be taken up in the Lok Sabha at the time of the Winter session of the Parliament starting November 29.
