In the bid to expand user-based intense competition from other streaming platforms like Disney+Hotstar, Amazon Prime, and a host of other Indian Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD) players, the Netflix giant has dropped its prices throughout its subscription plans.
Netflix India has reduced its mobile plan to Rs.149/month from Rs.199/month. The viewers can now avail the basic plan at Rs.199/M instead of Rs.499/M. The standard plan of Netflix would be at Rs.499/M instead of Rs.649/M. The premium plan has dropped to Rs.649/M from Rs.799/M.
Netflix has termed these new plans as “Happy New Prices” and has come into effect from December 14, 2021.
