The Delta Variant has been the most notorious of all the sub-variants of the Coronavirus. And the Delta-plus has been creating chaos since it was found.
A couple of days back, 3 sub-lineages of the Delta-plus variant of the Sars-Cov-2 virus are currently in Maharashtra. Experts said that this called for more epidemiological analysis to understand their impact on ongoing viral transmission.
As per reports, 66 plus people have been infected with the Delta Plus Variant in Maharashtra so far. The 3 new strains of the virus are – Ay.1, Ay.2 and Ay.3.
Maharashtra found its first Delta sample in December and then to number increased to 8 in February, 185 in March, 1,737 in April, 3,547 in May, 1,551 in June and 1,060 in July.
