On Friday, Maharashtra government announced a five level of restrictions across the administrative units in the state on the basis of case positivity and percentage of oxygen bed occupancy. Fifth level is the category which will comprise the strictest of the restrictions. Different types of activities have been permitted in each of the levels. The restrictions will be eased beginning from Monday and an order for the same is expected before then.

WHAT ARE THE LATEST NORMS IN INTER-DISTRICT TRAVEL?

E-pass stays mandatory for the passengers who want to travel inter-district by their private cars, taxis or buses and if they are passing through a place which falls under level 5 category. Passengers can travel inter-district without an E-pass only if they will be passing through a place which falls under 1-4 category.

PROCEDURE FOR E-PASS APPLICATION

  • Application needs to be made online through http://covid19.mhpolice.in/
  • It will then be moved to local police jurisdiction for further processing as per the place of origin the applicant choses.
  • Applicant shall have his/her valid identity proof, medical certificate, wedding card or related documents for marriage, medical report of persons travelling for medical emergencies, death certificate in the case of death, or a document pertaining to other emergency purposes.

Dedicated cells have been formed by every police jurisdiction for processing applications. Officials have said that they are attempting to clear applications at the earliest, or at least one day prior to the travel date.

  • Attachment of invalid or inadequate documents
  • No medical certificate attached
  • Excess number of co-passengers than the prescribed limit as per the government norms
  • Incomplete form at the time of application
  • No photo or unclear photo attached
