Harbhajan Singh, who has been a part of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) squad for the past two years now, has become the second high-profile CSK player to pull out of the tournament.
After Suresh Raina’s departure last week, the 40-year-old veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh on Friday reportedly informed his decision of stepping out from the 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Harbhajan Singh posted on twitter,
“Dear Friends, I will not be playing IPL this year due to personal reasons. These are difficult times and I would expect some privacy as I spend time with my family. ”

It is learned that the team management will have a meeting to “reassess the road ahead”, in terms of seeking a replacement. The three-time IPL champions still have Imran Tahir, Ravindra Jadeja, Mitchell Santner, Piyush Chawla, and Karn Sharma as their frontline spinners.
All other teams have started training for the 13th edition of the IPL except CSK. The three-time IPL champions had arrived in the UAE along with defending champions Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore on August 21.
