Earlier, the Enforcement Directorate arrested Partha Chatterjee over the state SSC exam case on July 23. On Thursday, Chatterjee has been suspended from the Trinamool Congress. Partha Chatterjee was the state general secretary and also a member of the national working committee and also the member of TMCs discipline committee.

TMC Leader Abhishek Banerjee said “There will be zero tolerance for corruption. Investigating agency must complete the probe within the time limit. Even in the Sarada case nothing happened, it’s just lingering. There must be a time-bound investigation.”
