On being asked about her views on social activist Anna Hazare’s decision to sit on an indefinite fast in support of the protest farmers, Nationalist Congress Party Member of Parliament Supriya Sule said that the center will be responsible for any harm caused to the protesting farmers and their supporters. She also tagged the central government as “Insensitive”.
She said, “I think the central government is an insensitive government. The lathi-charge on farmers who are sitting on roads for the past two months is condemnable…Central government will be responsible if anything happens to the farmers or any person who is standing with the farmers,”
She also added that she did not attend the budget session that began on 29th January to boycott the President’s address to parliament.
In a video uploaded via NCP Twitter handle, she said that “We are hugely disappointed with the governance of this present government. While referring to the farmer’s protest that is happening for the last 2 months.
"It is very unfortunate to see the way central government has treated the farmers in last two months. We all strongly condemn the treatment given to farmers and hence decided that all the opposition parties will not attend tomorrow's president's speech" – MP @supriya_sule pic.twitter.com/l7QQRH3B0J

She also added, “I hope that the central government will reach out to people to find peace and harmony in this nation, especially to the hand that feeds us which is the farmers.”
