On Friday, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) announced the procedure Aadhaar Number / the unique identification number that serves as proof of identity and address across India for kids.
Any individual living in the country regardless of age and gender is eligible for an Aadhar card, including children.
The application for the Aadhar Card for children can be done online as well as offline and it is quite similar to that of Adults.
But, visiting an Aadhaar enrollment centre is obligatory in both cases.
The procedure, though has seen some changes, as announced by UIDAI through their official Twitter account.
The new change introduces a blue colour Baal Aadhaar card for children under children below the age of 5. UIDAI also said that children must have their biometric updated.
