Shah Rukh announces his OTT platform SRK+, says kuch kuch hone wala hai

Bollywood Actor Shah Rukh Khan announced the launch of his OTT platform, ‘SRK+’. ‘Kuch kuch hone wala hai, OTT ki duniya mein,’ SRK wrote in an Instagram post. Looking at the extraordinary success and profit of OTT companies, Shah Rukh Khan has also decided to venture into this massive goldmine.

Shah Rukh Khan announced his very own OTT app on March 15 called SRK+. He made the official announcement through his social media account. He shared a Twitter post featuring himself with the logo ‘SRK+’. He also attached a caption to the post which read, “Kuch kuch hone wala hai, OTT ki duniya mein.” Anurag Kashyap excited by SRK’s announcement came out and revealed their future collaboration on the OTT platform. He took this news to Twitter by quoting Shah Rukh’s announcement post saying, “Dream come true! Collaborating with @iamsrk on his new OTT app, SRK+”.

On the work front, SRK is currently busy filming for Pathaan starring alongside Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. He shared the teaser for the upcoming film early in March. The teaser introduced his character as someone who has decided to adopt India as his religion. His last release on the big screen was the 2018 film Zero which also starred Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. Pathaan will mark SRK’s return to the big screen after nearly four years.

There is a lot of hype going around and a lot of anticipation riding on this film. It will reportedly inspire the start of an action film universe of sorts. Salman will also be seen in a cameo role in Pathaan as his character ‘Tiger’ from the blockbuster Tiger film franchise.
