A petition was made to remove PM Modi’s photo from the Covid-19 vaccine certificate and it got dismissed with a Rs. 1 lakh fine by the Kerala High Court as it termed the case as “frivolous”, “politically motivated” and a “publicity interest litigation”.
According to News agency PTI, Justice PV Kunhikrishnan said that “Nobody can say that Prime Minister is a Congress Prime Minister or a BJP Prime Minister or the Prime Minister of any political party. But once a Prime Minister is elected as per the constitution, he is the Prime Minister of the country and that post should be the pride of every citizen.”
The court said that the petitioner will have to deposit Rs. 1 lakh fine within six weeks to the Kerala State Legal Authority (keLSA) that shall recover the amount by selling off his assets if he fails to deposit the fine in the given time period.
