Indian Photojournalist Danish Siddiqui, was killed on Friday while covering a clash between Afghan security forces and Taliban fighters near a border crossing with Pakistan.
Earlier this week, Mr. Siddiqui was riding along Afghan special force in Kandahar to cover the conflict in the region.
Afghan forces had been fighting to retake the main market area to Spin Boldak when Mr. Siddiqui and a senior Afghan officer were killed, Reuters reported quoting officials.
Earlier, Photojournalist Danish Siddiqui told Reuters he had been wounded in the arm by a sharpnel while reporting on the clash.
He had been recovering when Taliban fighters retreated from the fighting in Spin Boldak.
Afghanistan’s Ambassador to India Farid Mamundzay tweeted about Danish Siddiqui’s death.
