Reopening Delhi Bars from September 7 – Rules to follow

The process of the 4th unlock has begun in the country in a graded manner and Unlock 4.0 in Delhi has something new to reopen!

On Thursday, Lieutenant General Anil Baijal approved the Delhi government’s proposal to open bars in Delhi.

The center has issued the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in this regard.

If the guidelines below aren’t followed, legal action under IPC section 188 will be taken.

 

SOPs to be followed:

  • Bars in containment zones will not open.
  • People will be allowed to enter bars only if they are wearing masks.
  • Hand sanitizers and thermal screening procedures are mandatory at entrances.
  • Frequent sanitization of the premises to be carried out.
  • Social distancing is a must.
  • Only 50% of the seating capacity to be utilized.
  • Only asymptomatic staff members and customers will be allowed to enter the bar.
  • Proper disposal of face covers/masks to be ensured.
  • Posters on preventive measures to be taken must be prominently displayed.

 

The owner will be punished under Sections 51 and 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 if the SOPs aren’t followed.
