On Sunday, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi announced that the Punjab Cabinet has decided to reduce the price of petrol by ₹10 and the price of diesel by ₹5 per litre respectively.
Earlier in the previous week, a day before Diwali, the central government had announced a deduction in the excise duty on fuel.
As per the Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal, the price per litre of petrol and diesel would be ₹95 and ₹85 respectively.
