Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh has been summoned by the Mumbai Police and he will have to appear for questioning before it on October 12.

On Saturday, a police team pasted a notice outside the residence of Param Bir Singh who was not present in his Mumbai’s Malabar Hill’s residence.

A fresh notice has been issued to Param Bir Singh by the Mumbai Police which also followed reports that the former police commissioner has left the country despite facing five criminal cases in the state.

Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Walse-Patil had said earlier that there were reports about Param Bir Singh leaving the country, however, there was no confirmed information.
