India is running the world’s largest Vaccination Drive and 560 million plus doses have already been delivered. Making the process convenient for the citizens now, people can book their slots on WhatsApp. The encrypted chatting app now allows one to locate the nearest vaccination centre and book a vaccine slot.
The government’s MyGov Corona Helpdesk chatbot can now be used by any individual in the country to book vaccination slot by simply sending ‘Book Slot’ to WhatsApp number 9013151515.
After sending the message, the user will get an OTP to verify the phone number. After the verification, the individual had to choose the preferred date, location, PIN code and type of vaccination. Finally one needs to get the confirmation done for vaccination appointment.
Whatsapp has been of help for downloading the vaccination certificates since August 5, too.
