Yet another reason to delay in fraudster Nirav Modi’s extradition has now been given by his Lawyer Edward Fitzgerald.
The Lawyer blamed the poor condition of Arthur Jail where PNB Bank fraudster Nirav Modi will be kept after his extradition to India.
And the Chief reason of all as cited by the Lawyer on Wednesday is that the extradition will “Worsen the Suicidal Tendencies of Nirav Modi” and will be harmful for his Mental Health.
“The Arthur road jail cannot offer him the care he needs. It is Covid infested and Nirav won’t get a fair trial (in India),” the lawyer said.
The Lawyer linked the suicidal tendencies and hampered mental health of Modi to his mother’s death who also died of suicide when Nirav was 8-years-old.
Extradition would be “flagrant denial of justice,” his lawyers said at the London court hearing.
