On Sunday, the situation in Nagaland’s Mon district has continued to remain tensed wherein a day after six civilians were killed by the security forces saying that it was a case of ‘mistaken identity’.
On Saturday, six civilians were killed in the operation in Tiru area of Mon district. The security forces allegedly mistook them for militants and fired on them.
Later, leading to clashes, seven civilians and one security personnel was killed.
Nagaland’s Principal Home Secretary – Abhijit Sinha has said that the situation is under control now and prohibitory orders have been imposed in Mon town.
