A controversial statement has been made once again by Bhagat Singh Koshyari. He said that Mumbai will not be the financial capital if Gujaratis and Marwaris are removed from the city. He also said that no money would be left if these two communities are not part of the city.

On Friday, Koshyari was addressing an event at a chowk’s inauguration in Andheri. He said while praising the Gujarati and Marwari community that, wherever they go, they contribute to the development of that region by building schools, hospitals, etc.

He said, “I often tell people here, that in Maharashtra, especially in Thane and Mumbai, if you ask Gujaratis and Rajasthanis to leave, no money will be left here. Mumbai will no longer be the financial capital of the country,” as quoted by The Hindu.
