On Sunday morning, the ‘Save Aarey’ movement was held near the controversial Metro-3 car shed. Slogans were raised against deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and CM Eknath Shinde as citizens, environmentalists, and some political parties gathered at the picnic point site to protest against the project of car shed.
Demonstration of the protest began by reciting Hanuman Chalisa prayer by the members of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) which was led by the national executive member, Preeti Sharma Menon from the AAP.
‘Save Aarey, Save Mumbai’ and ‘Metro ek bahana hai, inko poora Aarey khana hai’ were the slogans raised! A few leaders and workers of the Shiv Sena along with its youth wing Yuva Sena were also a part of the protest.
