On Friday, Uddhav Thackeray demanded mid-term polls in the state. He also asserted that Shiv Sena’s party symbol will remain ‘bow and arrow’.

Along with 40 party MLAs, Eknath Shinde rebelled against Uddhav Thackeray and had also won the trust vote in the Maharashtra assembly.

On Friday, the Supreme Court agreed to hear a fresh plea of Uddhav Thackeray challenging the appointment of Eknath Shinde as the Chief Minister of the state on June 11. Additionally, there are several other petitions filed by the Uddhav Thackeray-led fraction on issues concerning the state political crisis that will also be heard on July 11.
