The ruling government is facing quite some backlash due to the recent hike in Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) price hike.

The LPG prices were hiked by ₹ 25 and the policy came into effect from August 17 itself.

The LPG cylinder of 14.2 kg will now cost Rs 859.50 apiece in Delhi as compared to Rs 834.50 earlier.

As reported by NDTV, this is the second consecutive month that oil companies have hiked domestic cooking gas prices. 

In Delhi, LPG cylinder prices were ₹809 on June 1 and rose further to ₹834 on July 1. Between January 1 and August 17, the price of cooking gas cylinders has gone up by ₹165 each.

It was on July 1 that the prices of LPG Cylinder were increased by ₹25.50. The cost of a domestic cylinder cost ₹ 834 in July.
