On Saturday, the Karanataka government issued an order making it compulsory for the students to wear uniforms as asked by the government and administrations of the private schools and PU colleges that claim that such an act does not violate Article 25 of the Indian Constitution.
The order said, “Clothes which disturb equality, integrity, and public order should not be allowed.” “Students of pvt institution must stick to management’s dress code.”
The order added that the students of private institutions should adhere to the dress code decided by the management of the school. Moreover, it also said that the colleges falling under the department of pre-university of the state government will have to adhere to the dress decided by the college development board.
