India has become the country with the highest number of recovered cases. India overtook Brazil on Monday to record the highest number of recoveries, according to the US-based John Hopkins University’s data. 3.7 million Recoveries have been reported amongst 4.8 million registered cases.
The total number of recoveries has touched 3,702,595 taking the Recovery Rate to 77.88 per cent.
The Union Health Ministry said in a release on Monday that,
“Around 77,512 patients have been discharged in the last 24 hours. The total recovered cases are 37,80,107. The breach between recovered cases and active cases is consistently increasing.”
The ministry further said that Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu have recorded around 60 per cent of the total recovered COVID-19 cases.
India continues to report high numbers of recoveries with 78,399 registered recoveries on Monday, stated the Union health ministry in a press release.
India, as per the data, has seen 3,780,107 patients recover from the disease thus far. Brazil, meanwhile, has 3,723,206 recoveries, followed by the United States at 2,451,406.
Ironically, these are also the three worst-hit countries in the world, with the United States, followed by India and Brazil.
India stands second-highest in the number of Covid-19 cases in the world.
The total number of corona virus cases in India stands at 4,930,236.
