India bagged 7 medals at the Tokyo Games – 1 in athletics (Neeraj Chopra – GOLD), 2 in wrestling (Ravi Kumar Dahiya – SILVER and Bajrang Punia – BRONZE), 1 in weightlifting (Mirabai Chanu – SILVER), 1 in hockey (Men’s Hockey – BRONZE), 1 in boxing (Lovlina Borgohain – BRONZE), and 1 in badminton (PV Sindhu – BRONZE).
These 7 medallists were handsomely rewarded by the Indian and State governments plus other sporting bodies.
