Though most of us don’t realise that while consuming fried food, we end up consuming a lot of oil. But, FSSAI is here for the rescue.

Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has shared some easy tips to reduce oil consumption in our day-to-day life, which is very important for healthy living.

7 tips that FSSAI gives to reduce the oil intake are:

Bake-Grill-Steam are the alternatives to fried food. Follow this hack and get a healthier self.

2) Get Snack Smart!

Eat Snacks that do not soak in a lot of oil and if possible, avoid all oily snacks. Yes, even Samosa has to be cut down on!

3) Pour Measured Amount

Estimations in kitchen are as normal as the pollution in Delhi. But, both turn out to be harmful! Thus, using measuring spoons can lead to a lesser consumption of Oil.

4) Choose Oil Wisely

 

A number of oils have fats that are necessary for the body and consuming such oils will be helpful. Sunflower, rice bran, flaxseed, sesame, peanut, mustard or even coconut oil can be consumed, but, everything in limit.

5) Get Kitchen Clever

Roast and eat. When doing this, one apparently eats health and eats what one loves.

6) Purchase Limited

Keep a check on how much to buy. If more is bought, more will be consumed and hence, make sure to buy less, to reduce the intake.

Refrying Food or even Frying Food in oil which has already been used released toxins that are harmful for the body.
