Former police chief Param Bir Singh declared a proclaimed offender by the Mumbai court

On Wednesday, a magistrate court in Mumbai has declared Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh a “proclaimed offender”. The former Mumbai police commissioner has stayed untraceable for more than a month. 

The Mumbai police crime branch is investigating the extortion case against Param Bir Singh and has moved an application in front of the court of Magistrate Sudhur Bhajipale to seek that the former police chief be declared a proclaimed offender. 

Along with him, Special Public Prosecutor Shekhar Jagtap sought along with Param Bir Singh, two more accused, Riyaz Bhati and Vinay Singh alias Babu must also be declared proclaimed offenders.
