FIR filed against BYJU’S owner for ‘misleading’ information in UPSC curriculum

An FIR has been filed against BYJU’S owner Raveendran for misleading information about UPSC. The FIR has been registered by Snehil Dhall, a criminologist and founder of CrimeoPhobia, a science firm.

 

In the complaint Dhall alleged that the BYJU’S has given wrong information in its UPSC curriculum, it has mentioned that the CBI is a nodal agency for the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime (UNTOC). However, the police official said that the CBI had given it in writing that it was not a nodal agency for UNTOC.

 

Dhall said, it was immediately reported to BYJU’S and an email was sent to them asking to correct this information. However, in response to this, Dhal received a letter from the Ministry of Home Affairs that stated that CBI is a nodal agency of UNTOC. But that letter was from 2012 and Dhal was not satisfied with the response and approached police
