Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday hardened his stance against relaxing the prohibition law for visitors to the dry state. He made the bold statement in support of the prohibition law while addressing a gathering in Sasaram on Monday.
“Some people say that people who are visiting the state allow them to take a little, but is it possible? Will we allow them to drink alcohol? Will you allow people coming from other states to drink alcohol? Don’t come to Bihar. If you drink liquor and you are having trouble drinking alcohol in Bihar, then don’t come to Bihar. There is no need to come to Bihar,” Nitish Kumar said.

The CM said that no matter how educated and knowledgeable a person is if they drink alcohol, then such people are not considered capable. “Such people are not capable and are against Mahatma Gandhi, against society,” he said.
Nitish Kumar reiterated that relaxing the ban on visitors from outside was out of the question. The Chief Minister claimed his decision to impose prohibition was widely admired.
The event was a part of the social reform campaign started by Nitish Kumar.
