The Delhi Police on Monday were seen moving around with shields to protect themselves from any attack of swords by the protesting farmers. Awaiting another showdown with the protesting farmers, the police have now designed swords and shields to protect themselves.

These swords are designed in such a manner that they can keep the attackers away from the law enforcement teams. The length of the swords is almost double than the usual sword.

On Friday, the Station House Inspector of Alipur, where farmers have been sitting in protest for 68 days, was attacked with swords. Inspector Paliwal has suffered serious injuries and is being treated in the hospital.

Doctors treating him informed that Paliwal has been operated on twice and now will have to go through plastic surgery.

In order to prevent such incidents from happening in the future, the police have prepared an ‘anti-sword squad’.

After pictures of the police team with high-tech swords went viral on social media, senior officials are hesitant to comment on their level of preparedness.
