On Friday, the Delhi High Court has asked Twitter to remove certain objectionable tweets which relate to Hindu Goddess from twitter keeping in mind that the social media giant should respect the sentiments of the general public.

The bench of Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh said, “You should respect the sentiments of general public as you are doing business for public at large. Their sentiments shall be given due importance…Why you should do things like this. You should remove this”.

Representing Twitter, Senior advocate Siddharth Luthra has said that the posts will be removed once the high court gives an order in this regard. The case has been posted for further hearing on November 30.
