Amid the COVID cases surge in Maharashtra, and in a bit to curb the spread of the deadly virus, lockdowns/restrictions have been imposed in several cities and districts of the state.
YAVATMAL
Maharashtra’sYavatmal districts faces a 10 day lockdown.
- Schools are closed.
- Only 50 persons will be permitted at weddings.
- Religious places will remain open but Covid-19 protocols will be strictly implemented.
- Hotels and restaurants will be allowed to operate between 8 am to 9.30 pm.
- Markets and shops will remain open till 8 pm.
AMRAVATI
Amravati district faces a weekend lockdown.
- Markets and other establishments to remain shut.
- Essential services to remain unaffected.
- Hotels and restaurants would stay open only till 8 pm (from earlier 10 pm).
- Only five people will be allowed at religious ceremonies.
- Swimming pools and indoor games to remain shut.
MUMBAI
Instructions:
- Civic body decides to register offences against people who violate safety guidelines.
- Action will be taken against people found without masks in public .
- Action will be taken against function halls, gymnasiums and other establishments that don’t follow safety norms.
- The permissible limit of guests at function halls is 50.
- Restaurants are allowed to operate with 50 per cent occupancy at any given time.
- The civic body has decided to resume stamping of the hands of people who are placed under home quarantine.
- Action will be taken against the ones who flout the rules at weddings and other social gatherings in the city and BMC teams will raid event venues.
- 7 day institutional quarantine is mandatory for travellers arriving at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport from Brazil, where a new strain of the virus has been found.
- Buildings with more than five Covid-19 patients will be sealed.
PUNE
- Schools and colleges to remain shut till 31 March.
- Hotels and restaurants will be allowed to function till 10 pm. Food deliveries will be permitted till 11 pm.
- Preparations for Class 10 and 12 board exams will not be affected at this time,said the Pune administration.
- Hotels and restaurants will have to operate with 50% seating capacity.
- Citizens will not be permitted to wander on city roads unnecessarily between 11 pm and 6 am.
- Only 50 persons will be permitted to gather at weddings, funerals and political and other social events.
- All public gardens and parks in Pune city will remain closed in the evenings. Will be kept open in the morning only for ‘serious’ morning walkers.
- Malls and multiplexes will be allowed to operate till 11 pm.
THANE/PALGHAR
- Containment zones would be marked in KDMC and buildings where cases are detected will be sealed.
- 16 hotspots have been placed under lockdown till March 31
- District administration in Palghar banned fairs, temple festivals and other such gatherings till further notice.
