While the address, the PM appreciated the constant efforts of the center and the state for persistently being in co-ordination with each other and for taking timely decisions that played a major role to fight against the virus, Modi said. He also appreciated the state governments for working zealously in the battle against the coronavirus disease.

  • “In the second phase, those above 50 years and those under 50 years with co-morbid conditions will be vaccinated,” he added.

“Only about 2.5 crore people vaccinated globally so far; we have to achieve vaccination of 30 crore citizens in next few months,” the Prime Minister added.

Dry run in almost all districts of India has been completed which is a massive achievement, the Prime Minister said in his address. Modi concluded urging people to keep following the precautionary measures.
