Tuesday was a big day for BJP Leader Piyush Goyal as the former Minister of Railways was appointed as the Leader of House in the Rajya Sabha.
The vacancy of the Leader of the House was created by Thaawarchand Gehlot who is now the Governor of Karnataka.
Piyush Goyal holds key portfolios in the government and since 2010, been the member of the Rajya Sabha.
Announcing the appointment, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi tweeted: “Congratulations to @PiyushGoyal ji on being appointed the Leader of House in Rajya Sabha. He has been entrusted by PM @NarendraModi ji with key responsibility. Wishing him continued vigour in the service to the nation.”
