India’s Avani Lakhera has done another feat in Tokyo Paralympic. The para shooter from Jaipur, who has already won a gold medal at the ongoing Paralympics, has captured another medal. She now won a bronze medal in the women’s 50m rifle 3 position SH1 event on Friday. She finished third in the final of the event with a score of 445.9. The number of medals in these games has reached 12.

Avani Lakhera was second in the qualification with 1176 points. Earlier, 19-year-old Avani had won a gold medal in the women’s R2 10m air rifle class SH1, India’s first gold medal in shooting in Paralympics history. India has 12 medals in its account at the current Paralympics. India now has 2 gold, 6 silver, and 4 bronze medals in its account. This is India’s best performance in the history of the Paralympics. Earlier, India had won 4 medals, including 2 gold, at the Rio Paralympics (2016).
