Mumbai: Prabhakar Sail, NCB’s witness in the Cordelia cruise drug case, died on Friday. According to his lawyer, Tushar Khandare, he died of a heart attack at his home in Chembur’s Mahul area yesterday. As per reports, Prabhakar Sail’s body will be taken to his residence in Andheri at 11 am today. Prabhakar Sail’s lawyer reportedly said that a few days back the Delhi Special Investigation Team (SIT) team had visited Mumbai and recorded Sail’s statement.

Prabhakar Sail was an independent witness who claimed that Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials made him sign nearly 10 blank papers and he also claimed that he overheard a phone conversation about Rs 25 crore extortion. Working with Kiran Gosavi as his bodyguard, Sail revealed that he did not know anything about his employer’s activities.

Meanwhile, a special court in Mumbai has granted Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) 60 days extension to file chargesheet in connection with Aryan Khan cruise drugs case.

Earlier, NCB on Monday approached the court seeking a 90-day extension in filing a chargesheet in the Cordelia drug raid case.

NCB’s 180-day deadline to file chargesheet in the case was going to end on April 2.

Last year, NCB had arrested Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, Munmum Dhamecha and 15 others after a raid on Cordelia cruise off the coast of Mumbai.
