Amazon responds to MNS’s demand to include Marathi as a preferred language on it’s an app

Days after Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) warned e-commerce giant Amazon of holding an agitation if it didn’t include Marathi as a preferred language in their apps, the e-commerce ompany has taken serious note of he demand.

MNS leader Akhil Chitre had warned that Amazon and Flipkart should launch their app in Marathi in the next seven days, otherwise their Diwali will be in MNS style. 

Amazon has taken note of the complaint made by MNS.  Amazon’s Executive, the Customer Relations team has responded to MNS’s email on behalf of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.

“Bezos has received your mail. I am sorry to learn about the experience you’ve had with the Amazon App. I have shared this instance as feedback with the appropriate teams internally so that such instances are worked upon, going further, a better customer experience, “Amazon explained.

MNS leader Akhil Chitre took to Twitter,

“Representatives of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos took note of MNS’s insistence on giving priority to Marathi in Amazon’s digital trading app. Amazon’s delegation is in Mumbai today … as Rajsaheb says … if you stick to your language, the world will notice you”.
